Meet the Humans
Dusty Miller
ADAC Founder/Partner/Walker

Dusty & Boomer, eternal pals
From day one, Dusty’s constant companion was Rosie, a loving golden retriever rescued from the pound before he was born. The unconditional love and loyalty that Rosie offered throughout her long life helped establish and nurture the true affinity Dusty has for dogs and his work.
Whether animal, human, plant or planet, Dusty has love to share and manages to find beauty in life no matter which way the world seems to turn. Times are tough for most living things these days and Dusty sees no other way than to seek peace and help each other. He thoroughly enjoys spending time outside… whether solo or with any of his four or two legged friends. He has a strong connection to the natural world and believes being outdoors can heal many of the imbalances and absurdities of life. An avid cyclist, musician and photographer, Dusty even has a few inventions under his belt.
Dusty is committed to the happiness and health of all the dogs in his care and looks forward to meeting you and your dog. Join the Active Dog Adventure Club and come home to a happier, healthier dog!

Peter West
ADAC Partner/Walker

Peter & The Pack
Peter has been an animal lover for life. He grew up in New Hampshire with an array of pets, including cats, hamsters, gerbils and fishes. He always loved playing with his friends’ dogs. While attending school in Colorado, he frequently took dogs in his care on hikes in the Rocky Mountains during the summer and winter seasons. It was during these times that he learned much about dog behavior and modifying it through positive reinforcement training.
He has been a San Francisco resident now for three years and is thrilled that he can continue to combine his love for animals and the outdoors in such beautiful surroundings! If it’s foggy or not, Peter enjoys being outside running around with the Active Dog Adventure Club. He likes to make each dog feel like a full fledged member of the group no matter how long they’ve been in the pack. He also enjoys volunteering at San Francisco animal shelters where he helps exercise and socialize dogs to prepare them for adoption.
Outside of his love for dogs he also enjoys deejaying for his friends, hiking, snowboarding, bicycling and pretty much any other activity that is done outdoors. Whether it’s playing with the ADAC, bicycling around San Francisco or making music, Peter is loving life! There’s no doubt that Peter’s experience with dogs and love for the outdoors makes him a perfect match for the team.

Justin Flowers
Walker

Messin around at the park
Justin Flowers has been enriched by the lives of many animals throughout his childhood and adult years–from cats and dogs to turtles, gerbils, and even a pet flying squirrel rescued and nurtured back to health. Growing up in the Deep South wilderness of rural Georgia with multiple canine companions–Spike, a bounding, bustling black lab, Reba, a loving, rambunctious dachshund, and Blue, a silly, sweet Bluetick Hound–Justin knows the importance of our four legged friends and the positive effects they have on our day to day existence. He learned how to nurture and develop good behavior through positive reinforcement and proper training methods. Justin has also logged numerous hours in rescue shelters in both California and Georgia and has been dog-sitting and dog walking for over 7 years.
When not hanging out at the beach or park with the pups, Justin is an avid musician, writer, and artist. He has toured the country numerous times, gaining insight on not only musical endeavors but also the ties that bind all humans together in multiple, varied social and economical environments. He’s also quite the baseball player. Moving to San Francisco nearly three years ago has been a huge step in the development of Justin’s aspirations. He is very excited to call this beautiful city home.
Working for ADAC is a treat for Justin. How could it get any better than having your occupation be something you so thoroughly enjoy? He meets each day, each walk, and every dog with great enthusiasm and excitement–and it is gladly and lovingly returned. With Justin and the rest of the ADAC crew, the pups always come first!
